Eugène Henri Cauchois

Eugène Henri Cauchois (1850-1911)

Eugène-Henri Cauchois was born on February 14, 1850 in Rouen, France.

He was a student of the master painters Ferdinand Duboc and Alexandre Cabanel. By 1874, Eugene was regularly represented in the Paris Salons with flower and genre pieces. In his later years, he turned mostly to paint on many large scale decorative panels. His soft, vibrant color and lustrous still lives reflect a strong influence from the great Impressionist artists of his time.

Eugène-Henri Cauchois died on  the October 11, 1911 in Paris.
