Carlo Grubacs ( 1802-1870/1878)

Carlo Grubacs was an Italian painter of animated urban waterscapes and architectural features. He was born in Venice, Italy, 1812. He is the son of a ship's captain. 

Carlo Grubacs studied at the Academy of Fine Arts from 1818 and 1822. Later on, he also exhibited his works in 1847, 1855, 1858 and 1864 at this Academy.

His paintings reflected the lively views of Venice in the 19th century. 

Afterward, his sons Giovanni and Marco were also the well-known painters in paintings the Venice city views too. 

The artist died in 1870 or 1878.
