Aeron Haughton Corwine (1802-1830)
Aaron Houghton Corwine, born 1802 in Mason County, Kentucky, was the youngest child of Amos Corwine and wife Sarah Houghton.
Aaron studied painting with J.T.Turner when he was a small child. At age 15, Aaron continued his studying at Cincinnati, Ohio. Then Aaron moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to study with Thomas Sully at age 16.
Aaron returned to Cincinnati in 1820. He started painting the portraits of local businessmen and politicians. Andrew Jackson was one of his important clients.
Aaron got sick in 1829 during the trip to study in Europe. He returned home. However in the middle way he died on July 4, 1830 at Philadelphia.
